It’s a while since I’ve been on a tour of our building project in Burlington Gardens. A lot has happened in the intervening two months.
The scaffolding is up:-
The philosophers on the main façade are lost in the scaffolding:-
The stone is being cleaned:-
The floor in what will be the Lecture Theatre has been taken up:-
The view from my old office is less good:-
And there is much work still to be done on the new galleries:-
But it is gloriously flooded with light. It’s going to be a great space, as you would expect from David Chipperfield.
