Professor Phillip Lindley of the University of Leicester and a great expert on medieval sculpture took us round the small and very select exhibition of Richard Deacon’s models and maquettes which have been installed in the Old Combination Room of Wolfson College, an unusual setting for such a fine and fascinating display of his thinking, but none the worse for that:
