We stayed at Pen-y-Pass youth hostel on Sunday night. Display boards chart the place’s history with not only Mallory but also Duncan Grant, Keynes and H.G.Wells staying there. The weather was glorious, less so the following day as we drove across Anglesey to Holyhead for what turned out to be a very rocky crossing to Dublin.
