We’re staying in the Back Bay, an area of grand Victorian houses laid out after 1870 on what had previously been tidal flats.
The view down Newbury Street:-
The old Hotel Victoria at the corner of Newbury and Dartmouth:-
Terracotta detailing on the side of the Boston Art Club:-
306, Dartmouth Street was designed by Peabody and Stearns and built in c.1872:-
I can’t identify this façade on Dartmouth Street:-
This was built as the Working Union of Progressive Spiritualists, but after 1914, the upstairs was rented out as a cinema:-
And the alleyway at the back:-

Your usual wonderful detail : what an eye you have ! What about, in time, a book of a North American Blog ?
