I was walking across Bedford Square when I happened to notice the posters advertising an exhibition about the work of M.J. Long. I recommend it – small, but very well displayed, centring around the doll’s house she designed for her daughter and including recordings from National Life Stories.

This looks fascinating and I will pay it a visit. It is so good to stumble across things. I was very taken with an exhibition at the Lethaby Gallery (UAL, King’s Cross) at the weekend of the graphic design work of Phil Baines, who I knew nothing about. His work combined lettering and the Catholic Church – two things I am interested in. I wouldn’t have known anything about it if Art and Christianity hadn’t posted some photos on instagram.
Yes, it’s hard to keep up with all the things going on. Charles
