We’ve had a bumper year for soft fruit. So many figs in our garden that, after making lots of jam for ourselves, we ended up passing on 4 kgs to one of our friends who makes jam too. There is a limit to how many fresh figs anyone wants to eat! And one of our neighbours has been away while her plum tree has produced an enormous crop so we have been turning that into jam ready for her return. If this is true for E15 I presume many other places are faced with an especially large glut too.
