Off to 798, the old area of east German munitions factories which have been converted into art galleries and cafés:-
At GalleriaContinua, there was an exhibition by Ai Weiwei, originally called Neither Nor and based on a Ming dynasty temple structure in South China, which was dismantled, sold and he re-erected:-
Next door was an installation of teapot spouts:-
Each time I go to 798, the balance tips towards fashion and shopping as the rents go up and the artists vacate (vide Soho in New York and Hackney Wick):-

Fascinating. Thank you. I hope you’re planning another contemporary Chinese show, perhaps in 2018, with a Chinese Discourse in the new Burlington Gardens / Chipperfield space ?
Charles, really fascinating. Were the teapot spouts a piece of Ai Weiwei’s work as well? If so, I think they are even more powerful than the sunflower seeds.
