I have gone slow on doing posts about our building works in Burlington Gardens, only because I realise that there is a limited appetite for views of construction. But we continue to make progress in Week 39 of the project, with 22 tons of steelwork going into the Lecture Theatre:-
The most complicated part of the project is making the link through the corridor underneath the galleries:-
One gets a good view of the roof and the little rooms above Burlington Arcade, where I was once told mistresses were kept:-
And of the stonework on the Burlington Gardens façade:-

Thank you. It’s good to be kept abreast of progress. It is going to be a wonderful space, as majestic as his work on the Neues Museum.
Please keep sharing the work with us – the pictures show such different aspects that we would not normally see – worth making a book out of it. Looking very much forward to enjoying the finished building – is the project on time? and how many more weeks to go.
More or less on time. Week 39 of 94. Charles
