I realise that I have already posted more than enough from yesterday. My final one is of my Sunday morning walk. Down Stepney Green:-
Past the pigs:-
Through the churchyard:-
To Limehouse Basin:-
Through Ropemakers Fields:-
Back up Regent’s Canal:-
And across Shandy Park:-

Aren’t we lucky to have these places, their history & the vibrant community to walk through and live in.
Yes indeed. Charles
Charles,
On your next walk down Stepney Green could you take a look at the ceramic tiles in the roadway and photograph one or two?
Made by Victorian iron founders on the Tees from slag as the Yorkshire iron ores were so poor. Now each block has a unique colour, patina and cracking – very pictorial if enlarged!
These blocks exported all over the world.
Derek Morris
Will do. I knew they were interesting, but not their detailed history. Charles
