We went to see the wonderful mosaics in the children’s playground in Hackney Downs, done by Tessa Hunkin and her big team of helpers in the style of the Roman mosaics of Jordan:-
Nearby are the Hounds of Hackney:-
And tea at Brunswick House. It felt nearly like normal life.

Great images, Charles, and work. While I regularly use (used) Hackney Downs station on the way to kids’ football matches, I’ve never been on the Downs themselves. What a plethora of green spaces we have in East London!
Strangely, I had never ever been there myself and liked the atmosphere of the park, not just the mosaics. Charles
