Some scenes from Regent’s Park in the sun this afternoon.
The front of Lasdun’s Royal College of Physicians looking north towards Chester Terrace:-
Some penguins also enjoying the sun:-
And Casson’s Elephant House (1964), described as ‘zoomorphic brutalism’:-

Urban myth: the doors of Casson’s elephant house were too narrow for the elephants to get through: true or false?
Weren’t there elephants there until they were sent off to Whipsnade ? Charles
Don’t know about the elephants, but it is famously true that the penguins had to be cleared from the beautifully designed penguin pool after the concrete surfaces were found to be damaging their feet.
