As our neighbourhood is increasingly poshed up (it’s said that the Whitechapel Bell Foundry sold for £25 million), I become increasingly attentive to the signs of industrial decay – the old East End of workshops and lock-ups and artist’s studios under the railway arches:-

Brilliant – that’s what you are so good at – the decay and the urban clutter, often juxtaposed with a sophisticated architectural detail, such as when electric wires might creep over the elegant capital of a column. The sequence is good here, ending with Hell, and I love the way the reflection in the canal tricks the eye and looks like a sluice.
Lovely images.

Absolutely stunning images, man. Decay is one of the only thing that’s certain in this world of ours.
