The other exhibition I saw yesterday was Alison Watt’s new exhibition A Shadow on the Blind at Parafin. It was an odd coincidence that I had been talking over lunch about the symbolism of the two dolphins as the logotype of Thames and Hudson and there in the exhibition was a picture of a pile of books with the old dolphins on top:-
It is a lovely exhibition. I saw it in Cumbria. Did you see the little film I made with Alison when she was Artist in Residence at the National Gallery? She is also a lovely person.
No, I never saw the film even though (I think) it was during my time as Director. I have always liked and admired her work, and was given one of her pictures as my leaving present.
