One of the pleasures of going to Vyner Street was rediscovering 4Cose, an unbelievably wonderful source of temptation, most of which I am disallowed by my new, self-imposed food regime. But I could hardly resist their panforte in a huge slab, like I have never seen:-

It is agood thing that I don’t live in London. !
Who can resist panforte, whether in huge slabs or tiny fragments? Surrender! (Happily, I can get it in New York in the Chelsea Market.)
Panforte is really easy to make (we use the recipe by Felicity Cloake in the Guardian). Even easier to eat of course!
